Haikyuu!!is a popular Japanese sports anime and manga series that follows the story of a high school volleyball team’s journey to become the best in Japan. Haruichi Furudate created the series which was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012. The popular manga series was likewise adapted to 4 successful seasons of anime of the same title. Due to a relatively successful run of the anime series, many fans are wondering whether there will be season 5 of Haikyuu!!?

There won’t be season 5 of Haikyuu!! It was announced in August 2022 that the story of Haikyuu!! would be concluded with two movies, which are expected to be released in 2023. The first movie is titled “Haikyuu!!: Land vs. Sky” and the second movie is titled “Haikyuu!!: The Final Battle”. The movies will reportedly cover the remaining story of Shoyo Hinata and his team as they compete in their final matches to achieve their goal of becoming the best high school volleyball team in Japan.

Now that we’ve covered where we stand in terms of season 5, it’s time to analyze all the details. If you’re interested in more, stay with us and keep reading!

Editor’s Note: This post is regularly updated to provide you with the latest news regarding the conclusion of Haikyuu!! anime adaptation.

Continuation of Haikyuu!!

In August 2022, the shocking news was delivered to fans of Haikyuu!! Instead of the long-awaited fifth season of the anime adaptation, the studio will deliver the finale in two movies which will serve as a conclusion to the storyline. So, it’s safe to say that there won’t be a season 5 of Haikyuu!!. Instead, fans of the series can look forward to the two upcoming movies that will provide a conclusion to the story.

The decision to conclude the series with two movies instead of a fifth season was likely made due to various factors, such as production costs and scheduling conflicts, as well as the COVID-19 Pandemic, which regularly interferes with anime releases, something we could see with Nier anime, whose airing was postponed two times by now, due to the pandemic.

Haikyuu!! Season 4 Summary

This season of Haikyuu consisted of 2 parts. It had a total of 25 episodes. Both parts of season 4 of the shonen anime Haikyuu gained the most popularity beating the previous three because of insane character development and hype moments. Season 4 gave us many moments to remember and cherish. One of them is winning the qualifiers and qualifying for the national, and stepping into the big leagues as our gang faces bigger and better challenges and something new to look for. One sad moment for all of us was Hinata’s setbacks, as he could not provide his contributions.
