In January 2020, it was announced that Scott Z. Burns was working on the Extrapolations series. The Queens Museum, located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the borough of Queens in New York City, is an art museum and educational center that was founded in 1972. One of its most famous permanent exhibitions is the Panorama of the City of New York, a room-sized scale model of the five boroughs originally built for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The exhibit has been updated multiple times since then to reflect the changing cityscape.

For now, it seems as though most of the filming locations were set in New York. Nevertheless, we will stay tuned for the upcoming release date of the series, with which we will find out more about this topic.
