Can Naruto Destroy a Planet

The Naruto Fandom has been trying to figure out the extent of Naruto’s powers for quite some time now. Specifically in regards to him being able to completely destroy a planet. This question has been raised many times before, and depending on where you look, you might find different answers. There hasn’t been a collective agreement about the idea that Naruto can destroy a planet. However, let’s take a look at some of the answers and see if we can figure out if Naruto can, in fact, destroy a planet.

It’s possible that Naruto can destroy a planet. There are compelling arguments on both sides, for example, looking at the fight between Naruto and Momoshiki Otsutsuki, from which Naruto came out as the winner. This would essentially mean that Naruto can win against the powers of a character that has been able to destroy a planet. On the other hand, the logic might not necessarily follow since it’s hard to calculate for each fight Naruto has had, and there has always been partial help provided to him.

It’s hard to say with complete certainty if Naruto can destroy a planet, but in the following paragraphs, we will look at some of the potential arguments from both sides. If you are interested in this topic so far, you should stick with us and keep reading for more.

Naruto’s fight with a planet-destroyer and some of his abilities that might be able to destroy planets

This section of the article will look at a recent example of Naruto’s powers. The fight between Naruto and Momoshiki Otsutsuki occurs in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga and anime series. During the fight, Momoshiki and his partner, Kinshiki, attempt to capture Naruto’s son to try and steal his powerful abilities. Naruto, along with the other members of the Hidden Leaf Village, fight to protect Boruto and defeat Momoshiki and Kinshiki.

Although this fight displays Naruto’s incredible powers, we can’t exclude the help of the Hidden Leaf and Sasuke. This makes it harder to calculate Naruto’s power in the alternate situation where he would be fighting Otsutsuki alone. So far, we have seen Naruto face all the strong players with the help of others, but we can definitely say that, in theory, this fight displayed certain strengths that might give an indication of the potential to destroy a smaller planet.

Naruto VS Momoshiki
The fight between Naruto and Momoshiki

The fight between Naruto and Momoshiki is intense and action-packed, with both characters going all-out with their powerful attacks against each other. Naruto can hold his own against Momoshiki despite having half of his chakra stolen from him. This is another argument for Naruto’s potential ability to destroy something as big as a planet. Especially when we compare fighting against an intelligent and powerful opponent versus destroying a really large object, assuming that no one is there to attack you at the same time.

Naruto’s ability to harness Kurama’s power is another one of his abilities that we can’t ignore. Kurama’s chakra levels were so high that Naruto could share them with the Allied Shinobi Forces, making them three times more powerful. Another powerful ability we have to mention is the Baryon Mode. When entering this mode, Naruto’s destructive capability increased enough to defeat Isshiki, who was stronger than Kaguya Otsutsuki, demonstrating Naruto’s true potential.

That said, the Naruto Universe is not always consistent with its character’s power levels and abilities. For example, Jiraiya is unable to master the Sage Mode after a couple of years. It was hard to believe with Jiraiyas’s abilities that, he couldn’t manage to perfect the Sage Mode. Maybe something even more interesting is the fact that Kaguya, one of the most powerful characters in the series, was distracted only by being punched by Sakura.

This would lead us to believe that certain inconsistencies make it so that it’s possible even if it might not be logical for Naruto to destroy a planet. As we’ve mentioned so far, it’s definitely not the most out-of-the-box thing that could happen in the series.

Naruto is not the only planet destroyer in the Naruto series

Madara is considered to be one of the strongest characters in the entire series due to his ability to take over as the Jinchūriki of the 10-Tails. He also gained the Rinne-Sharingan, which gave him tremendous power, including the ability to create a meteor shower. Using the Truth-Seeking Balls, he could destroy a planet like Hagoromo. From what we have seen Madara display so far, it’s not hard to believe that Madara has enough power to destroy a planet completely and doesn’t even need to go all-out to achieve such a feat, given his power level.

The final antagonist of the Naruto series, Kaguya Otsutsuki, is known to be one of the strongest characters in the show, with her strength several times greater than that of Madara Uchiha. Kaguya had the ability to destroy planets with ease, as evidenced by her Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball, which could erase an entire space-time itself.

The display of Kaguya’s full power was truly frightening during the Naruto series. Alongside the characters we’ve already mentioned, Hamura Otsutsuki, Toneri Otsutsuki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kinshiki Otsutsuki, and Momoshiki Otsutsuki also possess the ability to destroy planets.

Naruto never destroyed the moon, but he has abilities powerful enough to attempt it

As the series progresses, Naruto gains access to various forms of power, including Sage Mode, Kurama Mode, the Six Paths Sage Mode, and the Baryon Mode. These modes significantly enhance his physical abilities, giving him the strength to fight on par with other powerful characters in the series. Although Naruto never attempted to destroy the moon, we can definitely see the possibility of him being able to do that.

It’s difficult to suggest the final answer to this question since the premise of the series isn’t usually focusing on the destruction of planets. The planet motifs in the Naruto Universe usually served as a stepping stone for the birth of a new power. The moon represented a reflective mirror-like object for the Infinite Tsukuyomi genjutsu and the home planet of Kaguya. Maybe in the future, we might see a more science-fiction approach to the Naruto Universe as the jutsu and the characters keep getting stronger.

Naruto characters are generally not strong enough to destroy a universe

In the Naruto series, so far no character has shown the ability to destroy an entire universe. The highest destructive feats shown in the series are at a planetary level, which includes characters such as Madara and Kaguya. However, as the show progresses, specifically the Boruto series, we might see some new characters that will possess that ability.
