How Fast Is Sasuke Uchiha? Compared to Other Naruto & Boruto Characters!

Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most important characters in the whole Naruto franchise. The antihero of the series, Sasuke, has been it all – the villain, the hero, and, finally, an antihero that beautifully complements Naruto’s heroic ideals. On top of that, Sasuke is also one of the strongest characters in the whole series. Sasuke is known as one of the series most skilled and powerful characters, which is why his powers and abilities have often been the topic of discussion in many of our articles. Building on that fact, in this article, we have decided to tell you a bit about his powers and abilities, focusing solely on his speed and how he would fare against numerous other characters from the Naruto & Boruto series in that exact category.

The article is going to be divided into two major parts. The first one will briefly introduce Sasuke as a character and tell you just how fas he was, while the other one will be a short comparison of Sasuke’s speed to the speeds of other characters, divided into several subsections. These will not be detailed analyses, just brief comments so you can understand Sasuke’s position in the Naruto lore in this category.

Sasuke is quite fast, even for Naruto standards

Sasuke Uchiha is a fictional character from the manga and anime series Naruto, written and illustrated by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto. He was created to be the best friend of Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the series, possessing numerous physical and psychological characteristics opposite to the latter.

In the beginning, he is presented as a positive figure as well as a fundamental one in the development of the plot; the young ninja is part of Team 7, but at the end of the first part of the manga, he abandons his companions becoming an antihero, consumed by hatred and thirst for revenge (these feelings, in fact, will totally change him, making him unrecognizable in the eyes of the whole village). He would later come back to the side of good and is – in Boruto – one of the heroes once again. His powers and skills are incredible, but in this article, we will discuss his speed in more detail.

Since the beginning of the series, Sasuke displayed high speed as he was the first to react to the Demon Brothers’ ambush. After being trained in chakra control by Kakashi, he could sustain his own speed against Haku during their second match. Later, he trained to imitate Lee’s speed, which he was able to match in just a month in order to effectively use Chidori in battle.

With this newfound speed, he could completely break through Gaara’s defense. After his Sharingan fully developed, he could also match Naruto’s speed in his Nine-Tails Chakra Cloak form, though he could not completely dodge the demon’s shroud. After training, due to Orochimaru’s teachings, Sasuke achieved impressive speed, allowing him to move great distances in the blink of an eye, as if teleportation.

Similarly, he was able to dodge extremely fast attacks from shinobi, such as Killer B with Lightning Release: Lariat, and A and Poke from him, though he attributes the evasion to reading him with the Sharingan seeing linear movements. After obtaining the power of Hagoromo and awakening the Rinnegan, his speed increases a lot, being able to impact Madara, who at that time was Jinchūriki of the Ten-Tails without him being able to defend himself; also, his long-distance displacement increased, being able to reach Madara instantly, surprising him.

He has also greatly increased his speed in taking hand seals, being able to do many in a very short time and launch a huge amount of weapons just as quickly as he was seen during his fight with Itachi. During his final battle with Naruto in the Valley of the End, Sasuke was able to crash into Naruto with enough force to start breaking Hashirama’s statue.

Years later, in his fight against Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki, it is seen how Sasuke is clearly an expert in Taijutsu, which he combines with his Blinking Body Jutsu, even surpassing Naruto Uzumaki in Kurama Mode and Sage Mode of the Six Paths, as far as speed is concerned. In terms of strength, he can repeatedly collide with large and muscular opponents such as Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki, as well as hitting Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki in such a way that the impact of this breaks large rocks.

How fast was Sasuke Uchiha compared to other Naruto and Boruto characters?

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Naruto Uzumaki

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi has demonstrated amazing speed, stopping an adversary even at a large distance. His speed was much faster than in Part I when he struggled to keep up with Itachi Uchiha’s quickness, but in Part II, he was on par with the Akatsuki member. He is particularly skilled at using Hand Seals since he can execute them quickly, making it very challenging to keep up with him. The official databook rated both of them at 4.5. when speed is concerned, so there should be no major difference between the two.

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Boruto Uzumaki

Boruto possesses skill in the field of Taijutsu, usually collaborating with his Shadow Clones to perform coordinated attacks. In the same way, he has great speed, getting behind an opponent without being detected. There are no official databook entries for Boruto yet, but based on what we’ve seen, we cannot say that he is, at this point, faster than Sasuke.

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Sakura Haruno

Sakura has shown to have great speed, as could be seen in the battle against Sasori; she managed to dodge all the needles and tools that had Poison thrown at her by the Hiruko puppet. At that time, Chiyo controlled Sakura with the chakra strings, but Sakura really moved by herself. Also, in the fight against Ino, Sakura managed to stay at the same speed as Ino; during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Sakura quickly punched the impostor Neji without him noticing.

Thanks to this, Sakura was able to dodge any attack from the enemy. Her speed was rated with a 3 in the third databook, so – when compared to Sasuke’s 4.5 – we can confirm that she is slower.

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Itachi Uchiha

Itachi’s speed was very remarkable. In the first part, his hand seal speed was so fast he could do ninjutsu in record time. As for his movements’ agility, he could kick Kurenai Yūhi with surprising speed during their brief battle in Konoha. In terms of displacement, he could move considerable distances with great speed. In the same way, he was enormously fast, throwing shurikens and kunai. The databook rated Itachi’s speed with a 5, compared to Sasuke’s 4.5, so we can deduce that Itachi wins this duel.

Sasuke Uchiha vs. Tobi

Even without the Kamui, Obito showed amazing speed by spotting a trap set by his adversaries before his allies. He could instantaneously teleport to practically anywhere with the Kamui, which gave him a significant speed edge in combat. Obito was demonstrated to be able to keep up with Naruto in his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode during the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Obito’s speed increased when he underwent the Sage of Six Paths Transformation, and he could easily defeat Tobirama and a clone of Hashirama without their knowledge. He also had the ability to hover, which gave him the ability to fly quickly. Kawaki is a close combat fighter, having great speed and being able to move several meters in a matter of seconds. Kawaki is able to manifest Isshiki Ōtsutsuki’s Dōjutsu, thanks to Karma, and use the unique abilities of this Kekkei Genkai. Among them, the Daikokuten, which allows him to recover objects previously stored in an alternate dimension, such as very heavy cubes and bars, with which he attacks his opponents at high speed, and the Sukunahikona, with which he can shrink objects and himself.

Like in Boruto’s case, there are no databook entries for Kawaki, but we can also conclude that he is not yet faster than Sasuke.
