The world of Star Wars is full of different characters that all have their own stories to tell. One such character was someone we met during the events of Star Wars: Rebels, as he was integral to the storyline of the crew of the Ghost. We are talking about Agent Alexsandr Kallus, whose redemption story was quite intriguing in the Rebels storyline. But who exactly is Agent Kallus, and will he appear in the Ahsoka series?

Agent Alexsandr Kallus was an ISB agent that worked for the Galactic Empire during the events of Star Wars: Rebels. He was one of the officers that participated in the genocide of Lasan and was the rival of Zeb Orrelios. However, he defected from the Empire after a change of heart during the storyline.

Even though we often look at the Imperial officers as evil people that all want to dominate the galaxy, the thing is that some characters aren’t as evil as they appear to be. Agent Kallus was one of them, as he simply genuinely believed in the cause of the Empire. So, with that said, let’s look at what we know about Agent Kallus and the possibility of him appearing in Ahsoka.

Agent Kallus’ Background Explained

We know that the storyline of Star Wars: Rebels introduced a lot of characters that have their own unique backgrounds. Of course, we aren’t only talking about the main protagonists but also the secondary characters that have seen their fair share of the limelight as well. That means we also know that the antagonists were some of the most interesting characters in Rebels.

Grand Admiral Thrawn was the looming antagonist in the latter part of Rebels. Still, one of the characters that antagonized the crew of the Ghost during the early part of the storyline was Agent Alexsandr Kallus. But who exactly is Agent Kallus?

Alexsandr Kallus was a high-ranking agent who worked for the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), a powerful organization within the Empire. Of course, we know that ISB officers tend to have special privileges they can exercise, especially when rebellions and insurrections are happening all over the galaxy. Kallus was one of the agents tasked with dealing with the Spectre, the crew of the Ghost ship that was manned by rebels Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios.

Out of all of the members of the Spectres, the one man that Kallus had beefed with was Zeb. That’s because Kallus participated in the genocide of Lasan years before the events of Rebels. Because Zeb was a Lasat, he had every reason to hate Kallus, as he was one of the people responsible for the destruction of Lasan.

But while Agent Kallus appeared evil from the very start, that wasn’t necessarily the case. He was one of the many Imperial officers that truly believed in what the Empire stood for. As such, he believed the Empire’s primary goal was to bring peace to the galaxy. And that was why he was willing to do whatever it took to help the Empire bring peace, even if it meant helping the Imperials to massacre an entire race.

When Kallus and Zeb were cut off from their forces, they were forced to work together to try to survive a frozen moon. Kallus had a broken leg then and was about to die before being forced to work with his rival. And it was through his rivalry and time with Zeb that he learned that the Lasats were loyal people that embraced honor above anything else.

Kallus was a changed man after he survived a near-death experience with Zeb. This event allowed him to see that the Empire was not exactly what he thought it was. As such, he decided to change his allegiance to work with the Rebels under the codename Fulcrum, the same codename that Ahsoka Tano used during the events of the animated series.

However, smart as he is, Thrawn discovered that Kallus was allied with the Rebels and that he was a spy working with the Spectres. He was captured after he attempted to feed the Rebels information about the attack on Lothal. However, he broke free from Imperial custody and was taken by the crew of the Ghost and the other Rebels with them so that they could work together with the other Rebels.

As such, Kallus was no longer a spy within the Empire but had become a true Rebel that worked with the Rebellion. He helped the Rebels by using his tactical intelligence and training as a soldier and commander. Kallus survived the events of the Rebellion, as seen by the fact that he was together with the Rebels during the destruction of the second Death Star and the death of Emperor Palpatine. And after the fall of the Empire, Kallus went on a journey with Zeb to the new home of the Lasats so that he would understand that he didn’t wipe out the Lasats after all.

Will Kallus Be in Ahsoka?

At the end of Rebels, we saw that the Lasats welcomed Kallus as one of their own. We can also make the presumption that he worked together with the Lasats to try to rebuild their civilization, especially because Kallus was one of the people responsible for destroying Lasan. As such, he had one of the best redemption arcs in the entire Rebels storyline.

But we saw in The Mandalorian that Zeb rejoined the action and was now part of the defense fleet of the New Republic. That means that he decided to leave his people and is set to make his much-awaited return as an important character during the events of the upcoming Ahsoka series. But what about Kallus? Is Alexsandr Kallus going to be in the Ahsoka series?

As such, we aren’t sure whether or not Kallus will be making his live-action debut in the Ahsoka series, as there haven’t been any updates regarding the possibility of him appearing in this show. However, we can only speculate that he might appear as a surprise character that fans weren’t expecting to see in the series.
